R2D2 pillow in crochet

... This cutie was made for our dear friends children for their wedding. I have wanted to try this pattern for awhile making a pillow out of it and these two seemed to fit the bill!
all yarns are peaces & cream, navy, lt grey, white and red... I used a G hook and cast on 34 stitches which is the grid plus 5 on each side and allowing 5 extra rows on the top and bottom. stuffing is polyfill and the back is crocheted nay in single stitch... I think for anyone not use to changing colors this could be a fairly easy first project...

Coaster Mittens

At Crochetville,
Darski hosted a New Years Eve CAL for those of us staying at home to ring in the New Year. since Chris had a cold and we didn't attend the giant pickle drop, I picked this Mitten Coaster pattern featured on Ravelry.

..Ravelry is an invitation only knitting and crochet community. You can request and invitation and it DOES come eventually. I waited maybe a month or two and it was well worth the wait!

.. These crocheted mitten coasters are about 90% done. I need to back them and I believe I am going the adhesive felt route in coordinating colors.

A very fun / mindless project...

Fingerless Mitts #1

.. My MIL made fingerless gloves as Christmas presents this year. They all turned out so cute I decided to make a pair for myself . These were done with a G hook and Bernat Cotton-Corn avocado. I loved the feel of this yarn and will order more for a few projects. I tweaked this pattern a bit by only doing a total of 14 rows because I have small hands... a previous pair I had made my 10yo niece I did only 13 rows. These work up in an evening. I think they might be great to work up and keep a couple of pairs in the gift drawer..

..I found the pattern here.
